Privacy Policy

Effective Date: October 13, 2025
Last Updated: October 13, 2025

At Risqly, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our services.

  1. About Risqly

Risqly is an analytics and automation platform designed for insurance brokers and their underwriting teams. We help brokerages gain insights, improve training, reduce quote turnaround and reduce risk through data-driven reports and automation tools.

We operate out of Canada and host all infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS) within the Canadian region.

  2. Data Hosting and Processing

All data you provide to Risqly is stored and processed on AWS servers located in Canada. AWS maintains industry-leading physical and network safeguards to protect your information.

Some data may be temporarily processed by third-party AI providers, such as OpenAI, to generate insights or summaries. However, no personally identifiable information (PII) is ever transmitted to these external services. Only anonymized or aggregated data is used for such processing.

  3. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use Risqly, we may collect the following types of data:

    • Account information: Name, email address, and organization details provided during signup.
    • Brokerage data: Quote, Policy, customer, and performance data uploaded or integrated by your organization.
    • Usage data: Logs, metrics, and activity information to help us improve system reliability and usability.
    • Communication data: Information from emails, forms, or support requests.

We do not collect or process payment details directly — any billing data is handled securely by our third-party payment provider (if applicable).

  4. How We Use Information

We use the data we collect to:

    • Provide and maintain our platform’s core functionality.
    • Generate reports and insights for your brokerage.
    • Improve system performance and enhance user experience.
    • Respond to inquiries and provide customer support.
    • Ensure compliance with legal and contractual obligations.

We do not sell or rent your information to third parties.

  5. Data Protection and Security

Risqly uses industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including:

    • Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data transmissions.
    • Secure AWS-hosted databases in Canada.
    • Role-based access control and authentication measures.

While Risqly is not currently certified under ISO 27001 or SOC 2, we follow recognized best practices for cloud application security and continuously improve our controls.

  6. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We may share limited, non-personal data with trusted third-party service providers to help operate and improve our services, including:

    • Amazon Web Services (AWS) for hosting and infrastructure.
    • OpenAI for select AI-powered features (no PII shared).
    • Other analytics or operational tools, strictly for internal use.

All third-party providers are required to maintain strong security and confidentiality standards.

  7. Data Retention

We retain data for as long as your organization maintains an active account or as required to provide our services. When you cancel or terminate your account, your data will be securely deleted from our systems within a reasonable timeframe, unless retention is required by law.

  8. Your Rights

    You may request:

    • Access to your personal or organizational data.
    • Correction of inaccurate information.
    • Deletion of data (subject to legal or contractual obligations).

Requests can be made by contacting us at privacy@risqly.com.

  9. International Users

Risqly is designed for use by organizations in Canada and the United States. All core data processing occurs in Canada under Canadian privacy regulations (including PIPEDA compliance principles).

  10. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
